The honest trade-off Now, there’s a catch. Because we added all this protection and sealing, the heater is a bit bulkier than those flimsy, open-frame versions. It takes up a little more room. But in exchange? You get a piece of gear that doesn’t quit on you. We also use quartz glass tubes with a special coating so the steam and bathroom chemicals don’t eat away at the hardware. If you want to be really smart about it, pair these with a moisture-sensing controller. It stops the heater from clicking on and off unnecessarily, which makes the lamps last even longer. It’s a simple setup. It takes a beating from the environment, and it keeps your mirror crystal clear.
