It stops the tube from shattering the second a stray drop of cold water hits a scorching hot surface.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The &amp;ldquo;Thermal Shock&amp;rdquo; problem&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Here&amp;rsquo;s the thing: quartz glass loves heat, but it hates sudden cold.&#xA;Imagine a filament tube glowing at 500°C. If a single drop of water hits it, that one tiny spot shrinks instantly while the rest of the glass stays expanded. That&amp;rsquo;s what we call thermal shock. It&amp;rsquo;s like a physical tug-of-war that ends with the glass snapping.&#xA;To fix this, we add an explosion-proof layer—think of it as a specialized coating or a reinforced composite. It keeps the tube intact and, more importantly, keeps the &lt;a href=&#34;https://henruite.com&#34;&gt;electricity&lt;/a&gt; far away from the water.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;How the heat actually works&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We design these lamps to send out short-wave infrared heat. The quartz envelope is great because it doesn&amp;rsquo;t soak up the heat itself; it just lets the energy pass right through and hit your towel (or your skin) directly.&#xA;We also put reinforced seals at the ends. Why? Because if steam leaks into the filament chamber, that tungsten wire will burn out in a &lt;a href=&#34;https://goldisgood.com&#34;&gt;matter&lt;/a&gt; of hours. Losing a tiny bit of intensity is a fair price to pay to avoid having glass shards in your shower. It&amp;rsquo;s just common sense for anything sitting in a wet zone.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
