Out on the fab floor, you know how it goes. A half-degree drift in bake temperature can nudge the critical dimension by nanometers—and that’s scrap walking. Wafer tool temperature sensors aren’t add-ons. They set the thermal budget for lithography, photoresist soft bake, hard bake, and wafer cleaning. When uniformity is loose, yield flatlines.
We built these sensors to hold wafer-level thermal uniformity within ±0.1°C, with fast settling and repeatable response. The sensing element sits in a cleanroom-compatible housing that meets Class 1–100 constraints. Materials are chosen to cut outgassing and keep particle generation at zero. The output stays stable 24/7, supports zero unplanned downtime by flagging drift in real time, and holds calibration across thousands of cycles.
In photoresist processing, soft bake sets the solvent profile, and hard bake locks the image. Tight temperature control narrows the bake window, cuts rework, and tightens line-width distribution. You get repeatability across tools and shifts, fewer particle events, and lower energy use because the control loop isn’t chasing wild swings. For wafer cleaning and drying, that same precision stabilizes surface energy, improving drying consistency and knocking down defects.
Installation tolerance is tight. The sensor has to sit at the thermal center of the hot zone and match the tool’s connector and mounting interface. Expect a short commissioning run to tune PID and confirm uniformity maps across the wafer. In high-humidity bays, check the connector seal and plan periodic recalibration to keep that ±0.1°C spec.
