It&amp;rsquo;s just what has to happen.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s why we&amp;rsquo;ve started leaning heavily on infrared (IR) heating elements inside our gloveboxes. It gets rid of those messy solvent-based heating mediums and actually brings down the carbon footprint of the whole curing cycle. It&amp;rsquo;s just cleaner.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;how-the-physics-actually-works&#34;&gt;How the physics actually works&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Think about a standard convection heater. It has to warm up the air first, and then the air warms your part. It&amp;rsquo;s slow.&#xA;IR is different. It sends energy straight to the substrate using electromagnetic radiation. Since we&amp;rsquo;re working in a glovebox where we have to keep the atmosphere strictly controlled, this is a huge win. You don&amp;rsquo;t have to worry about forced-air systems kicking up contaminants and ruining a batch.&#xA;We stick with short-wave and medium-wave emitters. They punch through the curing layer fast. And because it&amp;rsquo;s so quick, you aren&amp;rsquo;t sucking power out of the grid for nearly as long.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
